Problem: Rooms cannot be assigned or updated during reservations.

Steps:

  1. Verify the room’s availability:
    • Open Opera PMS and navigate to the Room Availability section.
    • Search for the specific room or dates to ensure the room is not already occupied or blocked.
  2. Check the guest’s reservation details:
    • Go to the Reservation Screen and confirm the stay dates, room type, and other details match the availability.
  3. Refresh the session:
    • Log out of Opera PMS, close the browser or application, and log back in. This refreshes the system.
  4. Manually override (if permitted):
    • Use the "Force Assign" or similar option if you have permission and are sure the room is unoccupied.
  5. Seek help: If you’re unsure why the error persists, contact your system administrator or Opera PMS support for advanced troubleshooting.
